Welcome to JuniorMarkets!
Index funds, retirement accounts, which companies to invest in, were all questions running through my head as a finance kid in high school and college. If you are here, I am assuming you are the same, meaning this is the perfect website for you. All these topics can be overwhelming, so I have compiled all the beginner and intermediate information I've learned about the stock market and investing into this one-stop finance shop. I incorporated all different types of graphs, pictures, videos, and text to help people with all different learning styles get the most out of this site.
Since this website covers all the information I wanted to learn as a new investor, I have divided it into three main parts: the overall stock market, investing strategies, and retirement options. This website is designed to answer all of your questions, meaning you won't have to go to different sites ran by different people for all your different questions.
There is a brief explanation of what each will cover below and the tabs in the top right go into a lot more detail.
STOCK MARKET
This section will first cover basic information such as what the stock market is, how you make (or lose) money, and other beginner topics necessary to understand later material.
Further down the list is info on the 11 sectors, bonds, treasuries, and other types of stocks.
(Section requires a lot of reading to get all the basics down before the fun starts in investing)
INVESTING
This is the section everyone wants to go to but make sure you understand the 1st section before coming here.
This section covers different investing strategies, what investment banks use, reading and calculating metrics, models, and analyzing company statements.
(This is where the fun is after you have a solid base. I made a lot of videos and examples😏)
RETIREMENT
Since this website aims to inform younger generations about the markets, this section will focus more heavily on how someone in high school or college can start saving for retirement and what options they have. There will, however, be info on all the most common retirement strategies and accounts fit for any age.
HOW TO USE THIS WEBSITE
-
To gain a solid base and learn the basics go into the stock market tab and work your way down the subsections starting on the stock market section. Each one either adds to or dives deeper into a previously mentioned subject.
-
The investing strategies tabs are tailored to help you figure out how, what, and where you want to invest your money. This section has some more advanced topics and goes over all the basics to evaluating and choosing companies to fit your investment style.
-
It is never too early to start saving for retirement and once you turn 18 and can start your own retirement account and the sky is the limit. This section is connected to the other 2 but is also in its own little world in sense of different accounts, job status, and income or net worth.
-
If you see a number beside a vocab word, it means the definition is below it in the vocab section.
-
ALSO check out the stock of the week (updated every few days) in the investing tab. This covers a stock that I believe might be trading at a premium or is undervalued with upward potential (not investing advice, do your own due diligence before buying).
-
AND go to the about me page to go ya know learn about me. (If you know someone in banking, follow my LinkedIn)
Finally, there is a Reviews tab where I go over some of the best accounts to get started in investing and saving. There are hundreds of options out there and I know when I started it was very overwhelming, so I have condensed it down to help you find the right pick for Best Online Brokers, Best Credit Cards, and Best High Yield Savings Accounts. Any questions you have about these topics will be answered in the tabs or on the Retirement page under the respected option. If you have any more questions feel free to email me below.
